Set Up Back-in-Stock Automation

Boost your revenue by notifying customers when products are back in stock. This guide explains the setup in CWILL Pop up Email.

🛠 Step 1: Prerequisites (Must Complete)

  1. Install the Extension: Ensure you have the Back in Stock app installed on your Shopify store.

  2. Enable the Theme Block: Open the Back in Stock app

    • Go to Theme Editor.

    • Toggle the Back in Stock Block to Enabled/On

    • After enabled, the status will be updated to "Connected"

    • Turn on the "Notify me" button

⚙️ Step 2: Configure the Automation

Once the theme block is enabled, return to CWILL Pop up Email. Before activating the email automation, complete Set Up Email Branding so your logo, brand colors, business details, and footer are ready. A Custom Sending Domain is optional and can be configured later.

  1. Navigate to Automations and select Back in Stock.

  2. Click into the Detail page to customize your campaign:

    • Templates: Personalize your emails to match your brand.

    • Email Sequence: * Email #1 is enabled by default to ensure you don't miss any sales.

      • Emails #2 & #3 can be manually toggled ON if you wish to send follow-up reminders.

  3. Set the status to Active.

📈 Understanding Our "Smart Phased Dispatch"

To provide the best results for your store, CWILL Pop up Email uses an AI-driven Smart Phased Dispatch logic.

How it works: Instead of sending a massive "blast" to all subscribers at the exact same second (which can cause your emails to be marked as spam), our system intelligently batches notifications.

  • Optimal Timing: The first prioritized batch of subscribers will receive their notification within a 24-hour window of the restock.

  • High Deliverability: By sending in waves, we ensure your emails land in the Primary Inbox rather than the spam folder, protecting your sender reputation.

  • Sequential Follow-ups: If you have enabled Email #2 or #3, they will be scheduled automatically based on when the previous email in the wave was sent.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I just restocked a product. Why weren't the emails sent immediately? A: Our system prioritizes your email deliverability. To avoid spam filters, the AI schedules the dispatch in optimized batches over 24 hours. This "phased" approach ensures the highest possible open and conversion rates for your campaign.

Q: Why is my automation not sending any emails at all? A: Please double-check that the Back in Stock Block is enabled in your Shopify Theme Editor. Without this block, the system cannot collect subscriptions or track restock events.
